Clerkenwell Design Week – What you missed…
Thursday saw the end of Clerkenwell Design week, it was great to see so many people connecting and interacting in person after so long. After two long years, we were back with a BANG!
Clerkenwell Design Week is all about showing off products that are new and original, the amazing design team at Ocee Design really made an impression on visitors with their impressive designs and immaculate finishes.
Here is a brief summary of what you might have missed …
During the three-day event, we got the opportunity to sit down and speak to a couple of our experts. We kicked off the event speaking to the brilliant Barry Jenkins, designer of the Four Fold table and winner of the Design Guild Mark Award and the Jonathan Hindle Award. Discussing the complexity of the design required in the making of the award winning Four Fold Table.
Day 2 of Clerkenwell Design Week started with a great catch up with Roger Webb and David Lancaster, designers of the new FourAll range. We got to understand the team’s inspiration behind the design and how looking to the future during different times resulted in the amazing range that people didn’t know they needed.
Last but certainly not least, we sat down with Ocee’s very own Sustainability Manager, Sian Berkley. Talking through all the fascinating steps Ocee Design has taken on our sustainability journey. Sian reinforced the message that sustainability is a marathon not a sprint, it takes time but usually it is those smaller, everyday decisions that makes all the difference.
Clerkenwell Design Week was the perfect time to debut the brand-new additions to the Four family. A collection inspired by the challenges of the global pandemic, focusing on driving collaboration during a time when everyone is navigating their new normal.
The FourAll® range was a strong hit with the visitors into the showroom during the course of the design week- “The FourAll high back seating have to be my favourite piece of the day”.
Our special guest Ros Lambert enthralled spectators with her interesting insights into acoustics and neurodiversity. Highlighting how important it is to create spaces that works for the whole diverse workforce, afterall, one size doesn’t fit all. When people’s individuality is prioritised and even celebrated, businesses have the opportunity to change their work space into an amazing and unique working experience.
The Ocee Family had lots to celebrate at Clerkenwell Design Week and we are so glad that so many of you got to raise a glass with us as we all look forward to what the future brings.
